A Big Makeup Junkie Thank You!

Where to begin! My last post I was still on bed rest. I still owe you a couple of posts on the beauty products I relied on to keep me looking pretty and sane in the hospital. Well, a lot has happened in 2 weeks. I am no longer on bed rest because my little buddy decided he didn't want to miss the summer and was born on June 11 just two days before his older bro's birthday!

Since he was born 8 weeks early, he's been in the hospital and is doing incredibly well. We're so grateful and fortunate that he has received the best care. I just want to thank my family, friends, blogger and makeup artist friends, and you the readers for your continued love and support! I am so overwhelmed by the messages I receive. Your kind and encouraging words have really gotten me through some tough moments and continue to inspire me to stay strong. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart and I love you all!

Hopefully, I will get back to blogging soon. I have so many hot summer collections to share with you and even some Fall ones! I hope you all are enjoying the summer!

Joy

Blogging Hiatus

Hello my dear Makeup Junkies! Unfortunately, I'll only be updating my site on a minimal basis - the most once a week. Baby has decided that mommy needs to take a much needed rest and will be at the hospital on bed rest until baby arrives. It's not the most ideal situation but whatever will bring baby into this world healthy and strong! I was finally able to hook up the internet (thanks to my awesome hubby), but to keep charges down will update once a week.

I'll miss perusing my favourite beauty sites but can still connect with you via Twitter, Facebook, and email! Thank goodness for technology or else I would just go batty! For any urgent requests, please contact me via email.

Thank you for all the well wishes - I truly appreciate all the love and support. Baby and I are doing well so far and hopefully this good streak will continue! Thank you for keeping me in your thoughts! Muah!

Much love,
Joy xo

First Post of the New Year With A New Makeup Junkie Contributor!

Happy New Year! Yes, we're 10 days into the new year and I'll admit - I needed an extra week to recover from the busy yet blissful holiday. Plus, it didn't help that I was feeling a little under the weather but I'm back and looking forward to another year full of beauty! To kick off the first post of the New Year I'm excited to introduce a new Makeup Junkie contributor!

Meet Brooke. She's a young, beautiful gal who will be bringing some fresh, new content to Makeup Junkie! She's the only one here that has some true journalism credentials. Her love of writing and classic beauty style is a Makeup Junkie fit!

Brooke's beauty must-haves?

Chi Flat Iron, A&G hair products like Liquid Varnish and Fastfood, Shwarzkopf Osis Dust it, and tons of Loreal Double Extend Mascara! Brooke’s friends and family say that her look just wouldn’t be the same without long black lashes.

No wonder she's got fab hair and gorgeously long lashes! Welcome Brooke! Stay tuned for her first post!

Beauty News: This Makeup Junkie Is In 24 Hours Today!

I'm thrilled to be in today's Toronto edition of 24 Hours! Check me out on page 22 talking about holiday beauty trends and Latisse, the first and only prescription eyelash growth treatment that is now available in Canada. In case you haven't heard, I am currently the beauty expert for Latisse and I've also been lucky enough to give this lash treatment a spin! It's only been a little over a month and I'm starting to see some growth and fullness.

If you're not familiar with Latisse it grows your natural lashes longer, fuller and darker. The results are significant as well! When I get a chance I will post some photos of my lash progress. Like the article says, if you try the product now you won't have lush lashes in time for your holiday parties. It takes 16 weeks to see full results. But hey, why not start the new year with long, beautiful lashes?? When you reach for your eyelash curler and mascara, it won't take much effort to get that flirty lash you've always wanted! Sounds good in my books!

As with any cosmetic treatment, book an appointment with your physician to see if Latisse is right for you. Customers can only get this product with a prescription. Latisse has been clinically tested to safely and effectively grow your natural lashes. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me anytime!

Makeup Junkie On Vacay!

This Makeup Junkie has been road trippin' with the family which explains my lack of posting. Sadly, we'll be on the road back home Sunday but that means I'll be back to it blogging away and featuring some Fall favourites! I know, gabbing about Fall trends already seems so wrong but September is just around the corner! I can't wait to share some of my fall faves and hear about what you'll be rocking this season. Hope everyone is enjoying the last month of summer! Much love!

Beauty Feature: Beauty Travel Tips With Andrea Claire!

Spring break is just around the corner. If you're planning a get-away, you'll want to read beauty traveling tips and beauty must-haves from jet-setting celebrity makeup artist, Andrea Claire!

Makeup Junkie: What is a common mistake women make when packing their beauty bags?

Andrea Claire: Most women take too many beauty products while on vacation - present company included! My suggestion - streamline. Traveling is not the time to do trendy make up. Think of where you are going and the type of vacation you want. I suggest similar make up to bridal so you will look radiant and beautiful.

MJ: Does it depend on the type of climate what products to take?

ACAbsolutely! If it's a hot sunny humid climate bring a tinted moisturizer with SPF, avoid powders and foundations.  If it's colder/dry climate, bump up your moisturizer.

MJ: What must-have beauty products do you recommend?

AC: NARS The Multiples are great as they truly have multiple uses. A new fave of mine, Kevyn Aucoin's The Prime Color Creme Eye Shadow - the cream to powder finish is great for various climates and easy to carry-on. Jemma Kidd Tinted moisturizer, Clean & Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets, Bobbi Brown eyeshadow palette that has 6 eyeshadows that I can play with and then a lip gloss. I don't wear lipstick anymore - my husband won't kiss me if I wear and well... I love his smooches!

MJ: How do you keep yourself refreshed and radiant when flying?

AC: I do drink a TON of water on the plane and I have a facial spray, Herb Salad Mist by SkinFood - a line from Korea that I got hooked on when living in Singapore. Then a little bronzer blended with Jemma Kidd's All Over Dewy Face Glow. Blend a little extra of Jemma Kidd's glow into your highlight points - it'll give you a lift out of your jet lag!

MJ: If you were trapped on a deserted island what would be your must-have beauty items?

AC: Since it's plural... My list from from above and Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant and sunscreen, so if I am saved I won't look leather-faced and haggard. If I am by myself, can I request a soccer ball so I can have a friend to talk too?! [MJ: picturing Tom Hanks but can't remember the movie??]

Thanks to Andrea for all your beauty tips! For more tips and tricks, check out her beauty blog Andrea Claire: Beauty & The Blog!

Beauty Feature: Spring Love

Spring is in the air! Can you feel the love? Makeup Junkie receives hoards of beauty products to try out and I love giving you the skinny on what's hot in spring trends. Here are some of my faves so far. Stay tuned for more spring goodies!

Revolution Organics Freedom Gloss in Freedom: I was excited to find this lippie in my swag from the Toronto Beauty Blogger Brunch last month. Totally loving this gloss! Why? Revolution Organics products are formulated with 100% natural and 85% certified organic ingredients. I love good-for-you glosses that are rich in vitamins and antioxidants. You won't find harsh chemicals, parabens, mineral oil, petroleum or artificial ingredients in this gloss. The packaging is also 100% recyclable and biodegradable.

Freedom is a lovely strawberry red derived from an all-natural mineral-based pigment. It's spring love in a gloss! Freedom gives you the perfect kiss of red on the lips that it not over-powering. If you love glosses that appear more like a moisturizing stain then you will love this one. It's not a high-shine gloss but I don't mind because it's so wearable for day. The gloss applies sheer but is buildable. If you are hesitant to rock a red lip during the day try this one out!

Mary Kay Cheek Glaze in Mandarin & Pomegranate: When I first opened these eye-popping shades of gel stains, I knew these would be a spring hit! I love gel stains because they not only last but they give your skin a beautiful glow. These felt very light-weight and never felt sticky or tacky. Don't be afraid of the bright juicy hues - they apply sheer and are extremely buildable. In fact, I had to apply a few layers to get the ideal intensity. Love both shades - Mandarin fits perfectly into the coral trends and Pomegranate is a classic berry flush. They are infused with extracts of Mandarin, Orange, Watermelon, Peach and Vitamin E. It can also double up as a lip stain! These pots offer a lot of product and are awesome to use if you're a makeup artist. Just scoop out with a spatula and apply! Available March 16.

O.P.I. Hong Kong Collection Hot & Spicy: I attended an exclusive launch sometime last Fall and was ecstatic to receive a manicure and the entire collection! I'll admit, there were some shades I wasn't in love with and gave away but there are definitely a few keepers. On the coral trend again, Hot & Spicy is such a great melon-coral. It's not too orange and really pops against your skin especially if you have a tan. Loves!

Vasanti Lipstick in Denmark: This lipstick has got my pulse racing! I've been on the hunt for a fuchsia-magenta shade like Denmark. This is a bold notice-me lip shade that is new for spring and would look amazing with a nude or bronzey eye. The texture is ultra creamy and highly pigmented. It lasted on the lips and even left a nice stain after eating and drinking. Denmark looks gorgeous when paired with a LBD or neutral clothing.

Vasanti The Hamptons Eye Colour Palette: Well, this is probably the closest I'll get to visiting the Hamptons for now! Vasanti shadows are not only gorgeous but have a fabulous velvety texture and are highly pigmented. The set includes: soft neutral beige, soft peachy pink, neutral deep brown, periwinkle grey, and intense rich navy. All the shades are wearable and can easily go from day to night. I actually used the periwinkle grey and navy on a shoot yesterday. Produced a sultry smokey eye nicely. Also new for spring, this palette compliments the new lipstick shades Denmark, Sweden (nude pink), and Luxembourg (nude brown).

Have you tried any of these lovelies? Love 'em? Hate 'em? Want 'em?

Oscar 2010 Beauty Trend: Bold Pink Lips

Hollywood glamour was all over the Oscar red carpet last night! I don't think there was anyone's look that I was underwhelmed by. I thought many of the women looked fabulous but the clear winner for me was Sandra Bullock!

When I first saw the cameras on her, I immediately fell in love with her entire look. She was definitely dressed to win in her silver beaded and embroidered column gown by Marchesa. From head to toe she looked absolutely exquisite! I'm glad we didn't see the classic red lip which would have been an obvious choice. Bullock's bright bold pink lips added an element of surprise and radiance.

This photo of me was taken a few weeks ago at my friend's charity event. I usually do a red lip when I want to glam it up but I was bored of the same old look. After seeing so many pink lips on the red carpet, this is one beauty trend I'll be rockin' for Spring!

Beauty Review: Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics (OCC) Lip Tar

A stunning new innovation in lip color, OCC Lip Tar combines the longevity of a lipstick, with the ease of application of a gloss. Goes on slick and moist, and dries down to a satin finish.

Never have I come across a lip product such as OCC’s Lip Tars. I have read so many awesome reviews on them that I just had to have them myself. The gloss comes in a little tube with a slanted tip which can be directly applied onto your lips but in my opinion this is best applied with a brush for extreme precision. Also, you want to start off with a tiny amount of product. And when I say tiny, I literally mean the size of this dot but even that might be a little too much! The tars are extremely pigmented that only a small amount is needed just as their website states “a little goes a very, very long way”.

Top: KATRICIA
Bottom: NSFW

The consistency and look of the tars kind of reminds me of artist paint and essentially that is what we are doing; painting our lips. The product does go on very wet but it is quick to dry as long as you don’t use a lot of it. I actually found it to be a little too dry for my liking so I layered a clear lip gloss on top and the results were beautiful.

Did I mention that they smell really good too? One of the ingredients is peppermint so it’ll leave your lips smelling nice and fresh. OCC is also known for using 100% Vegan and cruelty free ingredients and is also free of parabens and harsh preservatives which is a bonus in our books!

As far as staying power goes it does last pretty long but be careful not to smudge your lips because you’ll end up with a stained mess. I did find that it was a little hard to rub off with a plain tissue so you’ll probably want to use a makeup wipe for removal. It’d be wise to keep a few travel wipes in your purse just in case you run into a little accident.

Overall Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetic’s Lip Tars are a thumbs up. These cute little glosses come in 24 different colors to choose from.

Which ones do you think you’d like to try? Or if you already have them, do you love them? Or hate them? Makeup Junkie wants to know!

Makeup Junkie readers already know what a huge fan I am of Milk Made Velveteen Hand Creme. Well, I've added some new faves to the list! I was more than happy to indulge in their latest arrivals: Milk Made Body Frothing Bath & Shower Cream and Milk Made Body Hydrating Moisture Milk.

Both have the yummy scent of warm vanilla with a hint of raspberry - in a hot steamy shower it smells like baked cookies! The shower cream is frothy and creamy just like a milkshake. This is one vitamin packed shower cream with avocado oil, shea butter, whole milk and marshmallow extract that will leave your skin soft and supple.

The hydrating spray moisturizer has an ultra light texture but contains the same moisturizing ingredients as the shower cream. Your skin will be double the smoothness. I thought the spray was a cool concept because it's quick and easy. To avoid the chills after a shower, don't spray directly on the skin! Spray in your hands and rub together first to warm it up.

Hurry and stock up on all your fave Cake products! Which goodies will you be snatching up?

Both retail for $22 CAD/$18 US.

Spring Preview 2010: Spring Fling The Corals

It's the first day of March which means Spring is just around the corner (fingers crossed)! To get you excited for Spring, I thought it would be fitting to begin this month with one of this season's hottest trends: coral lips.

Why Spring fling? Because there's too many fun shades to choose from! Stay tuned for more beauty trends Makeup Junkie is crushin' on this season!

Coral lips will warm up any complexion. Let your lips be the focus and give your eyes a nice swipe of bronze, gold, or shimmery peachy-pink shadow. Stick to coral, peach, or bronze tones on the cheeks to compliment coral lips.

Smashbox Heartbreaker Lip Shine Melon Drama: If you love ultra-shiny glosses that pack a punch then you'll love Melon Drama! This colour is gorgeous and such a fun colour for spring. I think this is a universal shade that compliments all skin tones. Gloss feels smooth and rich but never sticky. The shine and colour last longer than your average gloss. The portable squeeze tube means no dipping the fingers!

Bobbi Brown Coral Sands Shimmer Gloss: This is the perfect coral shade to pair with a green or bronze smokey eye. The sheer golden peach hue is lovely on its own but looks amazing over top of a peach or nude lipstick. The shine doesn't last as long, but the shimmer leaves a nice sparkle on the lips. The gloss isn't sticky and leaves my lips moisturized. The only thing that bugged me was the brush; the hairs stick out and is really small. I'd definitely prefer a wand. It's a nice gloss, but 4.2 ml for $20 US is a bit steep. Hopefully they will come out with a bigger version??

Le Metier de Beaute Color Core Moisture Stain Lipstick Marrakech: If you're looking to splurge on a lipstick then try Marrakech from Le Metier de Beaute. I had heard great things about the brand and was excited to receive a sample of their lipsticks. This lipstick is a dream on the lips. Colour is long-lasting and very creamy. Marrakech is a sophisticated coral that has a shimmery frost finish, perfect for after-work cocktails. For all you proud Canadians (GO CANADA!), the brand sadly isn't available in Canada.

Vasanti Tinted Lip Balm in Cancun: Here is one brand that is made in Canada! Cancun has quickly become a favourite and has made a nice home in my makeup stash. I love tinted lip balms and this one does not disappoint. It feels like butta' on the lips and gives your lips a sheer kiss of colour. Cancun is a beautiful coral with a touch of pink that will look great on all skin tones. If you're a little weary to try a coral, then go with a tinted version.

Have you tried these coral lippies? Love 'em? Hate 'em? Want 'em?

The Magic of Lash Extensions From Xtreme Lashes

I've always known my lashes were wimpy, but I didn't truly realize just how sad they were until this past Tuesday. I had contemplated getting lash extensions so when the opportunity came up I was all over it!

Xtreme Lash Stylists specialize in semi-permanent lash extensions. I really had no idea what to expect; only that I would no longer be lash-challenged. It is mandatory that you come makeup-free (in other words come looking like crap!), even eye cream is not allowed. This is so that the oils do not interfere with the lash adhesive.

The whole procedure takes anywhere from 60-90 minutes depending on your lashes, the style you want and the skill level of the stylist. You'll also be lying down so be sure to use the washroom, have a good meal beforehand and be prepared for a good nap.

The level of length and thickness depends on the natural state of your lashes. It is not recommended to go too heavy as this actually damages the growth of your lashes. The goal of the extensions is also to make them look as natural as possible so don't expect to go ridiculously long. She mixed blue and black lashes together which gave a really cool effect. The blue adds a nice highlight to my black lashes. It really brightens the whites and enhances my brown eyes even more.

2.5 hours later I had beautifully long lashes. My only wish is that they would have been a bit thicker but otherwise the length is gorgeous! It definitely takes a talented artist to do this because it takes creativity, skill and A LOT of patience to apply those lashes singly. It looks so natural you can't even tell where the natural lash meets the synthetic one.

The adhesive also never touches your skin and is applied 1mm away from your eyelid. The lash adhesive was also specifically made for lashes so it will not damage the natural lash. They last 4-8 weeks from the initial application depending on the natural growth cycle of your eyelashes, with refills that are recommended every 2-4 weeks.

For those of you that love water-proof mascaras or liners, you'll have to keep them away as it is not recommended for the lashes. Oil-based cleansers used to remove water-proof products can break down the glue. Your lashes should have some curl to them but if you want even more curl you have to use a heated lash curler right at the tips rather than a mechanical curler (thank goodness I never threw mine away). It can break both your natural and synthetic lash (bye to my Shu Uemura curler for now). Also, be gentle and try not to rub your eyes too much.

I'd recommend booking your appointment a few days before an event. For 24 hours you should avoid a lot of things including applying mascara - yikes! First 24 hours are crucial in optimal bonding. I had an event the night of and it killed me not to apply my mascara! The length is there but I definitely like it better when there is mascara. Looks much fuller and more noticeable.

Be sure to do your research. Also, you'll want to get quotes and compare prices. After all, it is an investment so you'll want to make sure you're getting your money's worth. If you apply fake lashes religiously then I highly recommend getting semi-permanent lashes. It's healthier for the lash, more natural looking, and much cheaper in the long run.

Overall, I'm extremely pleased with the whole experience and now I'm hooked! How can I go back to those wimpy lashes?? Thank you for the complimentary service!

Happy 10 Years CoverFX!

Happy 10 year anniversary Cover FX!

Last night I attended a beauty blogger's media event put on by the fabulous brand and "foundation authorities", Cover FX. I of course ran in late while the President and Co-Creator, Lee Graff, gave her background on how Cover FX came to be. I hate being late - sorry!

If you don't know the history behind Cover FX, it all started with Lee's dedication to help burn victims and patients with skin disorders achieve flawless skin with superior products and formulations. With Frankel's chemical engineering background, Cover FX was born.

VP and Co-Creator, Jenny Frankel, showing off a scar from a chemical peel gone bad!

It was really an informative night about not only achieving flawless skin, but covering up different skin problems such as rosacea, scars, and even tattoos (not a skin problem but could be a problem if you don't want it seen at a formal affair).

Lee working her magic on a model with rosacea. Did you know Lee has her own blog full of amazing beauty tips and tricks? Check it out here!

Amazing results! Rosacea be gone!

International Communications Director, Wanda Longo, covering up Jenny's scar. Don't forget to check out Wanda's blog!

Jenny's beautiful daughter who has flawless skin already! PR intern/MUA, Katherine, covered up her under eye circles.

As you can tell from the above photos, it's clear why CoverFX is the "foundation authorities". They have a wide range of shades and formulations suited to your skin type. My favourite is the Natural FX Water-Based Liquid Foundation SPF 15 which is great for normal to dry because it leaves a radiant finish. All the products are water-resistant, tear-resistant, and sweat-resistant so it's perfect for extreme conditions.

Launching this March, is the fool-proof The Big Cover Up! 3 Step Essentials Kit ($75 CDN). This kit allows you to custom blend, cover up imperfections, and sculpt and highlight all in one compact! It's so compact and travel-friendly. If you're a makeup artist, it's definitely a kit essential! I learned a little background on the inspiration of this kit from Frankel. She said the big trend with makeup artists in LA was all about sculpting and highlighting their clients while giving them a flawless complexion.

We of course got to try it on ourselves but had to figure out before hand what our colour was. It is available in 4 colour series: B - shades of golden brown to ebony, C - primarily pink undertones, E - a balance of pink and yellow, and M - yellow and/or olive undertones.

Beauty bloggers, Anjali from Rock That Look and Farah from Faces By Farah looking flawless :)

I was lucky enough to be colour-matched by Wanda back in November at the Toronto IMATS. I am in the M series. Fellow beauty blogger, Esther, from In a Nutshell..., graciously allowed me to do her makeup. Did I mention it was our first time meeting? She was also in the M series - actually the majority of us were in the M series!

The 7-piece kit includes:
  • Skinprep FX - Nourishing Foundation Primer and Anti-Aging Serum
  • Cover FX Total Coverage Cream Foundation (3 shades total)
  • Setting FX Translucent Setting Powder
  • #130 Professional Foundation Brush
  • How-to Instructional DVD featuring Lee Graff
The "bullseye" technique before blending on blogger/model Shay from Hey Do You. She could have walked out like that and still been gorgeous!

Wanda demonstrated the "Bullseye" technique that was created specifically for this kit. The lighter shade is applied to the center of the face, medium shade applied to the areas surrounding the lighter shade, and the dark shade applied to the outer perimeter. All three were then blended together using outward strokes and pats with the foundation brush. Then use the powder to set. The result is instant coverage, highlighting and sculpting!

Thanks to the amazing PR rep, Melissa Shum, for organizing this wonderful event!

Sneak peek at the new display for Sephora

Some CoverFX essentials. Fell in love with the white-haired brushes!

Cutie Jenn, from Spiced Beauty, posing with her fancy camera ;)

It was a fantastic event and I'm glad I got to see some old faces and meet some new ones! Of course, we were sent home with a sweet thank you card personally hand-written by Melissa and our shade of The Big Cover Up kit! Thank you to CoverFX for designating a night just for us bloggers!

P.S. For those of you in the US, catch Lee and Jenny on HSN airing March 24!

Makeup department head for "The Runways", Robin Mathews, created the rocker smoky look using MAKE UP FOR EVER's Eye Shadows, Smoky Lash mascara, and Aqua Eyes liner.

“I designed ‘The Runaways’ Eyes around MAKE UP FOR EVER Eye Shadows. Their highly pigmented Eye Shadows and Aqua Eyes eyeliners are silky smooth, blendable, and long lasting,” said Robin Mathews.“The color selection is limitless, giving you endless possibilities. I finished each look with Smoky Lash mascara – which is truly smudge proof, a necessity on and off stage.”

Kristen Stewart as Joan Jett - Classic Smoky Eye

1. Start with Eye Shadow #127 (metallic taupe). Cover the entire eye lid with shadow so that there
are no hard edges, making sure to blend out the color extremely well.
2. Using Aqua Eyes #0L (black), apply a very generous amount of eyeliner under the eye on the
lower lid, then rim the top lid as close to lash line as possible.
3. Using a smudging brush, smudge the liner on the top and bottom of the eye. Robin’s tip: the
secret to a great rock and roll smoky eye is all about the smudge – it doesn’t have to be uniform
or neat. Once you’re done smudging, go back and re-apply a heavier coat of eyeliner along the
lash line. Then, remove any excess shadow that may have fallen using a sponge.
4. Apply Eye Shadow #139 (iridescent brown black), a darker brown than the color used on the
base of the lid, and smudge it over the black liner that was smudged out earlier on both the top
and bottom lids.
5. Use a lash curler to lift all the lashes and prep them for applying mascara.
6. To complete the ultimate smoky eye, apply Smoky Lash first to the tops of the lashes, and then
follow through scissoring up to create volume and separation.

Dakota Fanning as Cherie Currie – Colorful Smoky Eye:

1. Apply Star Powder #922 (copper) onto the eye lid, all the way to the inner corner, stopping just
shy of the outer corner.
2. Using Aqua Eyes #3L (iridescent navy blue), line the lash line on the top and bottom lids. Robin’s
tip: for the perfect smoky eye, the trick is to apply the eyeliner as close to the lash line as possible.
3. Smudge the eyeliner on the top and bottom of the eye using a smudging brush to create a more
fluid, blended look.
4. Apply Eye Shadow #81(metallic navy blue iridescent) to the outer corner of the eye using a small
flat brush, then drag the shadow into the crease very lightly.
5. Tap the brush to remove any excess shadow and then blend the blue shadow line ever so slightly.
Using the same brush, apply the blue eye shadow onto the bottom lash line to blend it out and
create a smoky effect.
6. Curl the lashes, then apply Smoky Lash Mascara going up and out to accentuate and elongate
the eye.

Toronto Beauty Blogger Meet Up!

Some of the lovely bloggers and brand reps

I love Sundays especially when it involves having brunch with lovely ladies who share the same excitement for all things beauty! Yesterday, I attended an awesome brunch at Milestones organized by the stunning and talented makeup artist/beauty blogger, Farah of Faces By Farah. 25 amazing Toronto beauty bloggers attended along with some fabulous reps from some of my favourite brands.

Farah and Megan from CARGO Cosmetics

Farah and Melissa from CoverFX

Yay!  I won a gorgeous pair of earrings from Sleepy Moon

We downed coffees (and some Mimosa's ahem), ate some yummy food, won some great prizes, and chatted about our favourite beauty products and online dating each other on Twitter.
