Cute Makeup Tips

When I first saw this image in Elle, the eyeshadows from MAC's recently released Cool Heat collection came to mind. I love how the dark colours accented with blues, greens and aqua contrast with the warm and sandy beach. The summer months are typically about bright colours or variations of bronze which makes this photo an interesting change from what we're used to seeing. I love old hotels - they just have so much character. So, I came across this picture a few weeks ago in W Magazine's Pinup spread and I keep coming back to it. It's such a striking photo - I love the contrast between the deep wine decor and the model dressed in stark white. There's a sexy/romantic vibe to it. And how cool is the head board?? Love it!

One of my favourite past-times is to go through magazines or browse on-line for beauty editorials that inspire. I love seeing different types of creativity and seeing different makeup techniques. The one that caught my eye this month is from Paris Vogue: The Party Girl. I always find European magazines are more avant garde and aren't afraid to step outside the box.
